Dental Implants Mustang
The Ultimate Tooth Loss Solution

Dental implants have long been considered the gold standard of tooth replacement, but in the past, getting them was quite the hassle for patients. You needed to visit your dentist, then an oral surgeon, maybe a periodontist, then your dentist again to finish the process. But at Mustang Dentistry & Braces, Dr. Clark Oakey lets you get everything you need in one office with the same provider, including immediate implants that let you reclaim your smile in as little as one visit.
Why Choose Mustang Dentistry & Braces for Dental Implants?
- Fellowship with the International Congress of Oral Implantologists
- Fixed Prosthodontics Professor at OU College of Dentistry
- Immediate Implants for Broken or Hopeless Front Teeth
What are Dental Implants?

A dental implant is a small post that resembles a tiny screw, and this is placed into the jaw where it mimics a missing tooth root. Made of titanium, it naturally bonds with the surrounding bone and becomes extremely strong. It can then serve as the foundation for a crown, bridge, or denture.
The 4 Step Dental Implant Process

- Initial Dental Implant Consultation: You’ll have the chance to speak to Dr. Oakey about your goals, and he’ll give you an exam to see if dental implants are a good fit for your situation.
- Dental Implant Surgery: The placement process will be handled by Dr. Oakey himself, letting you enjoy consistent care through each step.
- Healing Period: Your mouth will heal over the course of 4-6 months, during which your implants will become part of your jaw through a process called osseointegration.
- Delivery of Dental Implant Restoration(s): The big day has arrived! Dr. Oakey will attach your custom-made teeth to your implants
Benefits of Dental Implants

- Stability: Unlike removable prosthetics, implants are anchored in place and never shift.
- Strength: Implants restore much more of the bite force compared to regular dentures.
- Aesthetics: With no metal or plastic attachments needed, implants sit in the gums and look just like real teeth.
- Protection: The jawbone starts to shrink after tooth loss, but implants are the only replacement that actively stops this from happening.
- Longevity: With routine care, implants can be expected to last for over 20 years and even a lifetime.
Who Dental Implants Can Help

Implants are not one-size-fits-all. With Dr. Oakey, they are exceptionally versatile and can be tailored to fit your exact situation.
- Missing One Tooth Nice and simple, one implant is topped with a crown that we can likely design and mill right in our office.
- Missing Multiple Teeth A bridge or partial denture can be attached to a small number of implants, just one or two in most cases, to bring back several teeth at once.
- Missing All Teeth All-On-X involves affixing a denture to dental implants, with any extractions, the placement surgery, and new teeth being attached in just one visit in many instances.
