Get to Know Dr. Clark Oakey

While in college, Dr. Oakey saw firsthand the positive impact his older brother was able to have as a dentist, and he wanted to help people in the same way while also getting to solve complex problems. Now, he pushes himself every day to figure out novel, fully tailored solutions for every patient so that their care is just as unique as the smiles he gives them.
Where Did You Study Dentistry?

After earning his bachelor's and master’s degrees in biology (as well as an MBA with a STEM emphasis), Dr. Oakey obtained his DDS from the OU College of Dentistry. Since then, he has continued to build his skills and knowledge with rigorous professional education, particularly focused on dental implants.
In addition to being a Fellow with the International Congress of Oral Implantologists and having a Fellowship with the California Implant Institute, Dr. Oakey is also a lecturer for BioHorizons and associate professor of fixed prosthodontics at OU. Over the years, he has traveled extensively to seek out the highest level of training, taking advanced courses in Brazil, Lithuania, and Portugal with world-renowned clinicians. He also maintains active memberships in the American Academy of Implant Dentistry and Academy of Osseointegration.
Outside of the Dental Office, What Do You Like to Do?

Originally from Idaho Falls, ID, Dr. Oakey and his wife, Kelli, have their hands full thanks to their two children, Ford and Navy, and two dogs, Oatie and Franklin. When he isn’t at home spending quality time with the most important people in the world, Dr. Oakey likes to stay active. He runs triathlons, road bikes competitively, and is a long-time rugby player who won two national championships with Brigham Young University. He even played for Team USA in the Touch Rugby World Cup!
Fun Fact: Dr. Oakey lived in Denmark for 2 years, where he was able to become fluent in Danish, and still is today!
